The photographs in the first half especially felt less like still images and more like frames from a movie that somehow never existed. We found ourselves lingering on each scene, looking for clues and trying to piece together the stories hidden within them. It's one of those rare photography books that rewards slow viewing and continues to reveal new details each time you return to it. A truly memorable book that deserves to be experienced in person.
