Light | Water | Life Black Edition is the inaugural handmade artist book of street photographs from Light Made Magic. Printed, assembled, and bound by hand, the edition gathers 46 photographs that focus on light, shadow, and quiet, unexpected moments found in the street.
Each copy is enclosed in a handmade case and stamped by hand. The book is accompanied by a signed certificate and supporting materials prepared for this edition. The presentation unfolds in layers, reflecting the pace and intention with which the work was made.
Most of the spreads function as diptychs, pairing one photograph by Livia with one by Tim. These pairings are not fixed oppositions but quiet conversations, moments of light and reflection responding to one another across the page.
While each spread holds its own tension, the book is sequenced to unfold as a continuous, subtle narrative.

Street photography is where our work begins, but it does not end there.
Our first zine allowed us to shape the sequencing and layout of our images, but production limits meant that we had a little control over materials and format. With Light | Water | Life, we wanted to hold every part of the process in our hands, from printing to binding.
The street is immediate and fleeting. Making the book slowly, by hand, became a way of extending those moments. Paper, texture, and sequence shape how the photographs are experienced.
This approach is not a statement against other methods. It is simply how we feel most connected to our work, and how Light Made Magic continues to evolve.
An original short poem written for the project by Tim accompanies the book - a quiet thread connecting the elemental forces reflected in the work.
